Here's another fine looking photo featuring an avian species that we never happen across here in North America,Susan!
It's a really 'Good Show' of a picture,my friend! : )

Thanks a million for your great review on this Great Tit & it's photo-bombing pal
Sorry the Pilgrim Father's forgot to bring this one & our Robin over with them for you!! BUT then you have those beautiful little jewel coloured Hummingbirds that we can only see in the Zoo!

These birds have such lovely color and nice markings. I like how you captured two in the shot. The one in the background could almost be a reflection! It looks like they both have seeds in their mouths.

    Grace,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this Great Tit with the intruder arriving in the back of the picture as I clicked the shutter.

Hi Susan, now that is just too cute for words. thanks for sharing this delightful photo of the Tit bird. awesome shot with perfect exposure and excellent lighting. What a pose you have captured. she looks so innocent and delicate sitting there with her head slightly tilted, intent on staring at something that has taken her interest. Love the marking on her feathered coat. so pretty with that white patch on her face against the soft blue head and breast ... the earthy greenish yellow tinges around her body are a nice camouflage for her amongst the branches and twigs. The branches provide a lovely border around her and balance the scene well. I do love the little Tit who took the liberty of sharing the photo. , she is so well placed she almost looks like a mirror image of the bird in the foreground. well captured Susan. nice blending of colours for the background. works perfectly and compliments their feather tones. Thanks for sharing this delightful photo. a true joy to review. cheers mel

I like this because it's a natural composition showing the bird in the tree, lots of branches for them to land on and make them feel safe, focus is soft but it tells a story and I love to look at birds and how they move around on the branches!

We have lots of these flying and fluttering around in our garden! Probably because I feed them everyday!! Your full and central composition grants us an enjoyable look at your lovely bird and its location. Sharpness and exposure are good. Well done!

    Nik,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this pair of Great Tits. There are at least six of these in the garden at any one time along with the Blue & Coal Tits that raid the same feeders.

A beautiful bird in a nice, though somewhat busy, setting. The bird is shown in fine detail and beautiful colors. I think the second one in the background adds interest to the shot.

    Mike,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this Great Tit in the Fuchsia bush; which is beginning to come into leaf that will hide the birds during the summer.

Delightful shot of this pair of birds. It is a shame that you had that out of focus foreground branch cutting across both of them. Good color, but I think the overall focus is just a little soft.

    Charles,
Thanks a million for your review on this pair of Great Tits.
I use a Compact Camera NOT a Digital SLR with fancy interchangeable lenses.
The Camera was focused on the Bird in front, when the second bird flew in as I clicked the shutter which explains why it's out of focus. I think in this case even with a DSLR the results would be more or less the same...The camera is not as good as ones eye as adjusting the focus.

Love your title. This photograph is very interesting how the one bird is out of focus in the background. His eye is focused on the bird in the foreground and you wander what he is up to. The branches that surround the Lesser Redpoll are at all different angles and are interesting to look at, also.

    Karen,
Thanks a million for your complementary review.
The Camera was focused on the bird in front NOT the intruder that flew in as I clicked. While my eye saw both clearly the camera did not nor did I expect it to.
The Lesser Redpoll was perched on a differnt branch in this bush.
