I've had pink ones occasionally show this tubular petal too Fred but the white ones are really quite special. Thank you for having a look and do appreciate the very fine review.....and your comment re: my notes too. I'm so glad you enjoy them.

Beautiful! I especially love the center..that appears to be filled with tiny stars in this nighttime photo. Magical.

Your white is a beautiful color..picking up pinks, blues, lavenders and a lovely grey to add to the shape of the petal tips.

Your bg is perfect...showing just that bit of garden. Another of your flashlight shots I am assuming... ingenious.

Definitely a framer!

A 'flashlight special' Becky. I am honestly so impressed w/ how gorgeous these look at night time compared to during the day. They literally glow in the evening. So appreciate you checking this one out and thank you immensely for sharing one of your gold stars w/ it. Yes, a framer or if I can crop it differently I am hoping a calendar page for 2019. Thank you again Becky.

You have really captured the silky look to this lovely cosmos, the very unusual petals are clear and well defined, great exposure and pin sharp, the flower pops against the dark back ground, with just a hint of foliage. Lovely to see this unusual flower, and to learn about it, great notes.

This is just a beautiful capture of this white cosmos on many levels. I love the magnificent looking tips of these petals. They are so whimsical and sculptured. The center has wonderful detail and you can never go wrong with white. The white you have captured has tones of lavender which makes it look more amazing.
My neighbors make a habit of doing all white in their gardens with only touches of color. They say it stands out at night,
And with the right lighting looks remarkable. I think they are right and this definitely looks incredible. I can see your garden flooded with a sea of these beauties. A real pleasure to view.

A beautiful shot. I am intrigued by your technique that yields such consistently good results. I assume you shoot these flowers from a tripod. Do you use more than one light. I can just see you out there in the dark with your hands full of flashlights. A beautifully composed shot with great colors and immaculately sharp details.

LOL....have you been peeking dear MM as I traipse around my gardens in the dark?? b/c you got it right.....I always have at LEAST one flashlight in my hands....one under the arm and a small one strapped to my forehead. I have never used a tripod in my gardens....didn't even own one until this winter so yes, my hands are always full. Tripod should make things easier this coming season though. You are very kind for giving this guy such a wonderful review and I do really appreciate it MM. Thank you so much (and hope I haven't disillusioned you too much w/ my methods)
