Woozers! I love it. I haven't been to Utah since I was young. It looks like a wonderful place to get stunning photos as you have done. Beautiful work.

A Very interesting photograph I have not heard of hoodoo or pinnacles before,
The light captured really highlights the rock and brings out the texture and detail, the pinnacles stand out well defined from the surrounding landscape, a very well taken photograph,

Nik,
A beautiful & interesting picture of the Hoodoos in that wonder of the New World Bryce canyon bathed in sunshine so they stand out from their dark background, the colours of the rock formations changing as the light touches them. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
Susan

Wow! What a view. I love the depth and scale in this photo. At first glance it did not appear to be a large formation, then it sinks in as you process the references. The view from a high vantage point makes this very interesting to look at. Well done.

Hi nikman wow, what an interesting photo you have shared ... with this expressive grouping of hoodoos.. Never heard that term before... Just peering into this cluster of pinnacles it sparks my imagination in so many different ways.. One idea that flashes through my mind is that it looks like a grouping of castles in some enchanted forest.. All of the different shaped towers forming towers .. and a place where who knows what sort of activities take place.. Another thought is that it could be a fantasy land.. a bit like a walt Disney display... but without the lights to make it sparkle. Then on another thought, maybe it has been developed over time by ants.. a huge ant house with a whole heap of activity going on underneath the towers.. Stalic mights.. ( not sure of the spelling) .. that form inside caves from limestone deposits is yet another interpretation that comes to mind. the possibilities are endless. I love this photo. It spikes my imagination and lets it fly.. The sheer rock face in the background give some indication of the terrain along with the trees scattered around the mountainside .. Awesome lighting on these pinnacles.. Makes them really pop.. the exposure is excellent and the clarity to show the individual formation on each of the pinnacles works a treat.. fabulous shot with so much appeal. thanks for sharing Nikman .. a fun and pleasurable review. cheers mel

Another Butte-iful shot of this incredible rock forkation, formed over millions of years during which each twisted and gnarled piece of rock decided they would do their own thing and sprouted like some mammoth plant, captured here with great lighting cast on the right side and pin sharp clarity, showing the amazing and visually incredible structure of this pointy and gravity defying mass of mineral and rock. The detail is immaculate and the colours, shades of brown subtly changing throughout the whole formation from light brown to black and all inbetween, make for excellent viewing. The DOF is great and shows the dwarfed trees and foliage on the cliff behind in good detail also, and creating depth and scale in the process. An excellent capture, great work. :)

Beautiful shot here of the hoodoos in Bryce Canyon. Such a spectacular place. Good use of the existing light which give a nice bit of depth to the pinnacles. Nice sharp focus. Maybe just a tad more selective contrast would tone down the bright spots on the far left pinnacles. A beautiful shot in a beautiful place. Well done ~ Steve

I like the up close view of these peaks. It really shows off the various shapes nicely. The color saturation is nice and the depth is good. The angle provides a good view.

Nice shot. It is somewhat fun how the sun catches different peaks in this canyon just making them stand out like they are the only ones that count. And on a slightly cloudy day, it becomes a visual symphony as the sun light dances across the bluffs and peaks. Thanks for sharing causing some memories. Reasons for my five star vote.
