An interesting perspective and point of view here. The vastness of the beach with its shimmering sand and water pulls the attention to the small figure of the jogger beginning his run. I makes it look like the jogger is about to embark on a very formidable run into the vastness of the scene. Nicely done ~ Steve

Two thirds rule, check, well sort of. Different fields of activity on the left and right, check for both the sky and the ground. Point of major interest being the path leading you into the photo, check. Comments to make you look at the jogger, check. All well and good for a routine photo. But that introduction of the tans and bronzes as the only color in this photograph rather makes it special to look at. It makes you wonder is this natural or has it been colorized in only this space. I think it is natural. Any, the photo shows a tranquil and beautiful experience. Reasons for my five star vote.

Your detailed and very thoughtful review is much appreciated! It is natural!! I did not play around with colours. The beach often looks like this!

You are welcome, and I thought so about it being totally natural. Nice.

I like how the water and sand have rich silver and gold tones. It's an attractive combination and the jogger in the background is a good gauge of the distance.

Beautiful texture in this photo. Love the title as we see the jogger right off to the path of the line drawing you into the photo and leading you to the jogger. Superior skill.

Are you sure he's not collapsing Nik?!! lol. Great capture in fantastic natural lighting with very long DOF and sharp clarity throughout, this essentially quit minimal piece has a nice range of colour tones and textures shown in this beach at low tide. The line of water that mirrors the sky runs nicely from your POV, into the distance past the jogger and through the pockmarked sludgy but untouched sands, into the estuary or sea on the beach there. The simplistic but artistic, well composed piece with the subtle blending of colours throughout and the people in the distance giving good scale and perspective, a nice piece, good work :)

Interesting beach shot full of textures. Good lighting and the leading line takes us back into the picture. Interesting sky as well. The jogger isn't a major element in the picture and gets lost in the overall scene. Especially with the other walkers and the post in the distance as well. Nicely seen.

Beautiful beach scene! Very well photographed with good focus giving us a clear view, well placed horizon line, well exposed , I love the silvery tones in the sky and repeated on the water, it's a great place for a jogger to go for a run. I like this !

Your very kind review is much appreciated! Glad you enjoyed the shot!! Over 30 years ago I used to jog along that very same beach during lunch breaks or after work. How time changes things!

A beautiful scene with great clouds in the sky. The wide perspective makes the people all but insignificant in this great setting. As it should be. Very nice colors and fine composition.
