The effect in the depth of field is just right, good job on that. The detail in the grains of the cook can be seen very clearly and has very good focus.

This is really bad timing. I am here thinking about a late night snack, doing well to say away from the fridge, and now you show this Luscious cookie! AGH! I like the contrasting black background which accents that Yummy looking cookie. Ok that's it. I am heading for a snack thanks to you ; ) Great image and best of the best in the contest ~ Steve

Hi there and thanks for sharing your very unique idea of the chocolate chip cookies to exhibit the colour ' brown.'. That's really delightful. Love the presentation of the cookies, nicely balanced with a dark background to make them really pop. The angle used to capture the best of these delicious looking yummy treats is perfect.. Looks as though you enjoyed the cookies too. The bite missing is so cute... with the remaining few crumbs left to tell the wicked tale.... Excellent combination, using two biscuits to set the scene.. I wonder to myself, is the other cookie missing a bite too... if it is , it is nicely hidden behind the larger biscuit in the foreground.. well placed to add interest and intrigue to your photo.. Great exposure and lighting and a crystal clear snap shot to show the texture of the cookies well. The placing of the biscuits also adds to the depth of field in the photo . cleverly done... If I really look at those choc chip pieces, I can make a face out of them. that is quite precious. the two larger round chips form the eyes, a little chip represents the nose and the larger smiley shaped one at the bottom is a perfect mouth... Your biscuit just gained its own characteristic appeal.. Looks like it is laughing because of that chunk missing on the side of its face.... Thanks for presenting such a fun and extraordinary representation of the ' colour brown' . love it... It leaves me with a smile on my face.. best of luck in the contest... a total joy to review. cheers mel

Aptly captured for the contest theme... Two shades of brown.

Ideal letterbox framing with ample marginal spaces...

Excellent choice of subject.
Sharply focused.
Fine features & textures.
Subtle illumination.

Thanks & good luck at the polls!

Initial Reaction: Raisin or Chocolate Chip??? LOL. Cookies nicely placed on the glass/mirror, to catch the reflection of the one so well....gives it nice depth. Framed well to capture that depth. Nice focus on the cookie someone took a bite from and the reflection of the other one in the glass. Thanks for sharing and HAGD.

Oh Wow! I am a chocolate freak and this is making me want a cookie so bad. The dark background really brings out the chocolate pieces and the brightness of the cookie itself really stands out. You framed this perfectly. I also like how you can see little pieces of crumbs trailing on the table for just a little extra detail. Well done and thanks for sharing this creative photo. Yummy indeed lol :)

Yummy INDEED! My favorite home baked chocolate chip cookie! This is very well photographed, perfect focus, the image is clear, exposure is perfect, they look delicious and the way you arranged them against the black with the reflection under the one in the right , shows a well thought out and executed image! I love it!
