A fantastic, long DOF and minimalist style picture, taken from a well chosen vantage point at the high up area. A path ahead runs neatly and begins to curve through this massive field of golden barley, leading towards the deep blue ocean in the distance as far as the horizon, with a clear blue sky above. Great colour contrast is well defined and great natural light adding some colour to this vast scene, the tiny white boats on the ocean showing the scale. Nicely composed piece, well captured. :)

Oh this is a nice shot here. The tire tracks lead the eye directly to the blue of the water and then back to the sharp yellow browns of the wheat. Nicely done Pritt ~ Steve

What a wonderful view of the barley field! Great dof and clarity. The converging lines takes the gaze to infinity. The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

Very nicestraight and balanced lines over this large area of land, sea, and sky. Excellent colors and framed to size. Textures and movement in the field are beautiful.

Hi Nikman thanks for sharing this awesome photo of the ripening barley during your walk near Portscatho, Cornwall, England Excellent angle used to capture the scene. Looking down that cleared track that seems to extend down the sea.. gives a great feeling of depth of field and allows me to imagine the vastness of this crop planting which spreads both left and right of the walkway. Harvesting must be an immense task.. Great focus and exposure really allows the eye to examine the natural growth habit of the barley plant.. the seed heads are visible amongst the golden brown foliage of the plants. A fascinating growth habit as each plant blends into the next and forms thick clusters of barley for miles and miles.. I love the inclusion of the ocean and sky in the background. They provide excellent contrast in the scene and add to the value of the picture . The horizon seems to stretch for many miles and gives a good feeling of depth and intensity. I can see the occasional white splash on the blue seas.. wondering if they are distant ships .. or just white wash ... The dark brown earth that appears in the walkway, tells me that the soil is rich and well cultivated for growing such a successful crop.. Obviously good farming skills have been implemented in growing this barley. Thanks for sharing your photo with its great eye appeal and agricultural acknowledgement. Enjoyed your notes to accompany the scene. A pleasure to review Jack. cheers mel

I feel as though I am walking among the fields of barley. Ireland, the beauty, and the glory. This is a perfect shot. I can smell the ripe wheat, baking in the sun, and feel the ocean's breeze. Lovely.

I never realized that they could grow barley this close to the sea. A beautifully composed shot with great colors and excellent detail in the barley.
