Wow! Talk about white! Your dog looks like a speck LOL. I like how the green tree breaks up the whole pic; creative shot; Yep, you are getting it big time; looks like he's out for a stroll; looks like the Holiday season; good colors, background and focus. Take care. I don't miss that much snow, even though I am from Indiana.

Hey Deborah.. that is just too crazy .. all that snow and check out Comanche.. ploughing her way through like a real trooper.. go Comanche.. who needs a snow plough when you have a German Shepherd with such skill and power... Can't even begin to imagine what it would be like living in this kind of climate.. The density of the snow is made evident by her deep track and the hidden part of her body.. A fabulous angle used to capture that well . The huge clods of snow sitting on the branches gives the picture great texture and with Comanche pushing forward she really adds a feeling of movement to the display. The somewhat obvious track or pathway that fades into the distance offers great depth of field.. and shows the uneven terrain as it rises and falls along the way.. I can see those tracks leading down that snow- path-way. are they the tracks left by the deer. do they not sink into the snow... ??
or maybe they were something way lighter travelling through your garden that left their trail... Your garden looks like a white wilderness of excitement today.. The occasional uncovered foliage still showing itself to the sunlight. You must do a selfie with you and Comanche next time.. so we can see your snow shoes... lol . I bet you can't wait to see some green growth reoccurring sometime soon. imagine that burst of colour you have to look forward to Deborah. it will be amazing after so much snow coverage for so long. Thanks for sharing this excellent photo that brings us in touch with your world, your beautiful Comanche and that place called home... great exposure and excellent focus makes it so easy to view the beauty and Comanche's joy for life.. as always , an absolute pleasure to review. smiles from mel

    Yes, you're right Melyuki. The tracks in front of Comanche are from the deer. They don't sink like Comanche does although they do have a hard time when the snow gets this deep. You are also right about me just patiently (NOT) waiting to see something -ANYTHING- growing again. My poor flowers will not be feeling the warmth of the sun for Lord knows how long a this rate...lol OMG but it is going to take for-friggen-ever for all this snow to be gone. Anyway, enough whining. You're a dear for checking out my new piece and thank you so much for the really wonderful review!

That beats the 3 inches we had in our part of the UK last week! Your fine composition grants us an enjoyable look at your location. Useful including the dog as it helps to show how deep your snow is. Hope you are coping with it! Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely taken!

    I AM coping Nik but I am soooo over the 'pretty snow' this winter....lol It may be summer before it's all gone at this rate. Thank you so much for having a look at my new piece and yes, was glad to get Comanche in it just to give some perspective to how much there was. Anyway, do appreciate the very fine review.

I predict that you will be getting a break from this kind of weather starting next week. A fine shot that shows the depth of the snow in exquisite detail.

Wow! Change of plans BB. I was coming for a visit this weekend but I think I will take a rain (snow) check. How beautiful a sight, at least from here. I bet Comanche had a ball chugging through the snow. I hope you got some shots of that beautiful snow on my favorite evergreens. Great scene here BB. Stay warm and I will have a Rum and Coke for you ; ) BB

    Hey...I aint skeered (much). Growing up in Idaho I always loved the fresh deep snows like this. Walking in the woods with friends and sledding down steep hills was always such a blast (unfortunately the hills emptied out into the freeway but that is another story ; ) OK, starting on Your Second rum and coke. I hope I make it to MY two. XOXO

I low how Comanche feels! I am in upstate NY. Crazy snow this year. It seems like we live in a snow globe. It just doesn't stop. This is a beautiful photo. It still looks beautiful on the trees just not on the streets. Hang in there Comanche spring is coming....I hope!

Oh my! This is SNOW. This pic really shows it off beautifully, Deb, especially with Comanche in it for perspective. Looks like at least 2 feet or more. That was smart photo taking and it perfect technically too. Stay warm! Ed.

    They are listing snowfall in NEK as 26" over just the last 24 hours Ed.....and it's snowing again now! GOOD LORD!!! Thank you so much for checking it out. Knew the minute I saw her in the snow here that it was the best way to show you guys exactly how much snow there is at my place. Gonna be awhile before my flowers feel the sun I think...lol

for people like me who see so little snow, only once or twice an year, this is a wonderful scene; very impressive winter shot;
there is a yellow cast at center bottom: did Comanche urinate so much ? LOL
update: I just checked on two other computers: there is definitely a very slight yellow cast between Comanche and the bottom line; I still Wonder why nobody noticed it.....

    I have gone and looked twice and don't see it Fred (a yellow cast I mean)....if anyone urinated it had to be the deer who went through a few mins before us b/c the minute Comanche saw the tracks she was off...lol...plus the snow is so deep she can't stand on top of it. Glad you've enjoyed seeing all the snow. Have to admit it's pretty impressive to me too (for March that is)

    it was just a joke about urinating; but not about the yellow cast at the bottom; very strange...
