Fascinating notes YOU! Thank you for that as the LOTUS is a flower I am definitely not familiar with. This is a wonderful entrant btw for this contest.

Amazingly crisp focus on that very interesting seed pod. I can clearly see the liquid you've described in your notes. Colors are just so lovely....image well exposed too.

Interesting way you've cropped your piece here. Not sure I wouldn't have cropped left frame over more and widened upper and lower frame just a tad. Can't really know w/o trying so those are only some random thoughts. I think you've done a fine job presenting this interesting seed pod just the way you have and wish you the best w/ it in the contest.

    thanks a lot deborah for your great comments;
    I left more space on the leftwhere the pod is looking.......as usual

    Oh I didn't mean I would have squared it off Fred....just moved it in a tad.....perhaps...lol Love the bit about where it's 'looking' though. Made me smile on a very dreary day here. So very welcome for the review.

You have pictured this Lotus seed pod really well and I especially like the little drops of water seen on it. The colors of the background are perfect, and when nicely softened as well, the pod is standing out from it in an excellent way.

Your photo is nice and sharp showing such clear and well defined details in the pod, and the exposure is perfect.

The photo is nicely cropped and the pod has got a fine placement off to the right. I think this is a lovely and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.

This is an interesting image and the notes are super informative. I like how well the oily looking liquid shows so well. It's amazing process to view and to think about. Your framing and exposure look great too!

Very neat and informational. I've never seen a lotus seed pod before now. You have captured a very beautiful shot of one. It's so clear, and the colors are really good. I also didn't know you can eat them. So cool. Thank you for sharing your story and your work, with us. Good luck in the contest! :D

If this were mine I may have cropped it a bit more on the left to make it a square frame, because I am so fascinated with this seed pod. I am also very fascinated with your wonderful narrative. So informational and educating.
Thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Now back to the photograph, The lighting is perfect in this giving the central area perfect illumination so as to see very well the expelled seeds with fantastic clarity in the water droplets. The angle and perspective is detailed enough to see a 3 dimensional view and a bit artistic. Love this seed pod!
Great and unique!

    now back to the photograph: it is always important to leave more space in the direction where the subject is looking;

Well captured image. Using the available light helped you also get the dew drops on the face. They almost look like tears because it is sad from losing its beautiful petals. Nice dcolor and detail. The dark background serves the picture well.

An amazing shot. Thank you for opening our eyes to one of the little knows miracles of nature. How else would we learn that the seeds are expelled with a drop of water? A great shot that is well composed and should do well in the contest.
