What an exquisite flower.....and thanks for waiting until this beauty was fully open to capture these stunning details. Your dark diffused background accentuates your photography so beautifully. A gorgeous Macro shot of with good light handling, excellent details and contrast. This is very nice work and thanks for sharing.

Wow, what a fabulous shot. The perspective is fantastic and really shows off the intricate patterns of its interior. Your clarity and details are exquisite. Excellent. I would have cropped it as square just for even more dramatic punch.

A gorgeous complex and beautiful flower emerging from this bud. Beautiful focus and attention to the intricate detail in this lotus flower. A wonderful color and interesting center that shows up beautifully against the dark background. Pleasure to view and see.

Well done, Fred! Wow~! It looks like a tomato in many ways. Scientifically speaking, a tomato is definitely a fruit. And they all begin with a blossom of sorts.. This is a fascinating capture. And very artfully accomplished with the clarity and the light vs the black bg. I like your framing..showing another bloom in the bg. In fact..I think that changes the mood of this capture completely...into a work of art..instead of just a scientific view. Thanks for sharing... a pleasure and so interesting to view!

Een prachtige macro foto, met prachtige kleuren. Ik vind de zwarte achtergrond op de foto heel goed passen bij de foto het zorgt dat de kleuren van de bloem er mooi uitspringen. Heel fijn werk.

Fred,
A beautiful picture show us the complex & finest detail of this deep pink lotus bloom with a second in it's shadow below. Ask me not why but the inner petails & stamens surrounding the seed case in the centre remind me of the many petticoats of a Can Can dancer! Beautiful composition, framing & perfect soft lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
