There a literally no trees here. But willows, and still you have to take quite a trip to see those. You have captured a beautiful tree setting. I lived half my life around trees to now hardly seeing any. The closest thing we have to trees are the poles for power cables. Lol. :D

Oh no AA. Where do you live if you don't mind me asking?? As you may have noticed from my images I am surrounded by trees....I absolutely could not imagine NOT seeing trees....would be awful for me.

So glad you are sending us these lovely "post card" pictures. Poor Sweetie, will you ever get out from beneath the snow?
This is truly beautiful scenery. Excellent clarity and focus. Beautiful lighting coming in from behind the trees. Terrific point of view and framing. Christmas card perfect.

Hi Deborah.. thank you so much for sharing your Winter Wonderland.. oh my goodness. how absolutely gorgeous is this view.. Though the temperature doesn't excite as much as the extraordinary scene. Guess you can't have one without the other ... Back to your beauty.. I just love your garden.. this scene with its stunning pines adorned with snow laden branches of beauty just tantalize my eyes in the most appealing way. Fantastic balance in this picture.. .. the low growing foliage whitewashed with snow provide a great foreground, as if it is the stage and behind comes the setting .. the nicely bunched pines on the left and those on the right are complimented perfectly by the taller slender tree trunks bearing their deciduous branches that are reaching into the sky above .. The one solitary very tall tree taking centre stage draws the eye into the scene and creates its very own show.. Loving the sky with its pale blue hue that slowly unfolds into that glorious pink tone that frames the trees. how stunning is that. The colour in the sky compliments the whitish grey tones that the trees are boasting... excellent focus and perfect lighting gives this view wonderful clarity. The whole scene just emanates tranquility and peace and looks like a fairyland that feeds my appetite for nature's beauty.. Thanks for the joy, and for your story to accompany the scene Deborah. Such a pleasure to share your garden harmony and delight.. an absolute dream to review. smiles from mel .. Today was 31C. here in my part of the globe.. lol..

Just lover your assessment of the foreground grasses as the 'stage' for what is behind it! Very good! ...and that very tall tree has served me well on a number of occasions when I've gone too far into the woods and got turned around. I search the sky for it and when I find it just head that way....my own personal GPS point growing right there....lol Very cool, yes?? My little wonderland here IS really special and I so appreciate your very wonderful review of it. Thank you Melyuki....and do hope it's warmed up a bit in your part of the world as well!

Another literally cool capture!
Impressive alliterative title...

Visually soothing landscape with snow capped pines trying to bear the extra burden not to mention the superb coldness.

Sharply focused.
Well lit.
Nicely framed.
Gorgeous, two toned skyline!

Good perspective & long depth of field...

Thanks for sharing...

Sorry for my funny English! It should be "not to mention the superb coldness"?!? Right?

Not to worry Dick. Your English is fine and "....not to mention the superb coldness" works

Another beautiful photo of the snow. I love how you continue to capture nature at its best. Cropping was just enogh to not leave out important things and the border gives it that simple touch it needs. Wonderful work!

Ah. BB you posted my favorite scene. The snow on the evergreens looks so magical. There is just something about the way the snow blankets the needles that to me is just so attractive to my senses. I went out this morning hoping for the same scene, but nope. Disappointed again. maybe tomorrow...maybe. Great one BB. Stay warm ~ BB

It looked soooo beautiful when I came up to this spot BB that I stood there for probably 20 mins working on my camera settings and taking photos to get it exactly as I saw it. I agree about it having a magical look and hope you know how much I appreciate your review and very special rating for that. Also agree that you just won't get the same effect w/ sand...lol Anyway, thank you BB. You are peach!

Although I will admit to be tired of seeing snow, this is an amazing winter scene. The detail remains everywhere throughout this photo when I blow it up. Even the snow covering the smaller vegetation in front of the scene is perfectly detailed. The colors in the sky are beautiful pastels with varying shades of pink, blue,
green, orange and an amazing array of the rainbow. A really well executed photograph Deborah and hopefully soon you will be enjoying warmer weather. Today I photographed a very small iris in bloom in my mothers garden. It was a pleasure to see and I am excited about seeing your wonderful flowers soon!

The colors in this are just stunning. Do you think these pastels appear when it is almost too cold for the sun to create anything to vivid. Or perhaps when the ground has such a covering of frost and snow that reflects cold right back. I think these colors are gorgeous. And your details and your composition are just perfect. Your one lone 'hardwood' tree is placed just a bit off center...and you have included it's entirety in your composition. Just stunning in every way. Thank you for sharing your place with us and for bundling up with your camera to capture these magnificent mornings...my absolute favorite time of day.

They (sky colors) happen most often when it's REALLY cold Becky and typically when that goes along w/ snow coming or just ending. All I know is that make my very little special place here look even more magical. My favorite time of the day too! As for my tall friend here- I've learned....lol I photographed this spot last winter and didn't pay attention to the top of that tree.....ruined my image. You are just a doll for this wonderful review and extra special rating Becky. Putting this one in my file for '2019 candidates' Thank you so much for your generosity w/ this new piece. I do so appreciate it.
