Yeah,Deb!
Spring is now less than TWO DAYS off and we're getting late December cold over here in northern New York too! Dis-couraging! : (
But that's a really impressive landscape scene,my friend!
Not exactly 'pretty' but definitely a 'Good Show'!
: )

You could not have caught this at a more perfect time. The pastel sky and the trees artistically crystallized by nature make a stunning combination. Composed with a beautiful array of fir trees and that spectacular tall bare tree reaching to the sky as if beseeching it for no more. Excellent! Ed.

I LOVE that tall....nearly dead tree Ed. Once I get way down in the woods on my snow shoes I have been known to get 'turned around' and have trouble finding my way out ....especially if it's snowing. But I can almost ALWAYS find the top of that great tall one and use it as a guide. Pretty handy eh??? I include it in lots of the images I take from over there and I smiled at your '...beseeching it for no more' lol Thank you so much dear Ed for your very generous review/rating. I am so glad you liked this one.

It has helped me more than once Ed when I've gone further than usual into the woods....and off the 'Highway'....but I can always find the top of that tree somewhere in the distance and I just put my head down and head towards it...lol As good as GPS

I hope you didn't venture outside more than necessary. Love the sky colors. I was on my porch last night and had something similar to look at. Good trees to contrast and break up the pic a bit; the snow makes me chilly but cozy at the same time; our weather has mood swings LOL; mornings are in the 30s and 40s then it gets in the 80s. That's our version of a blizzard LOL. Good focus; good depth feeling; take care and stay warm. :)

We've got some interesting skies. The colors go on and on at times.

I've heard that before swimmer....something about the ocean on one side and gulf on the other??
reply by swimmer74 on 19-Mar-2018
Oh, I've never heard that reasoning. Interesting.

Not positive it was Florida but it kinda makes sense w/ all the water around you guys down there.

Very well shot with great colors and detail. The composition draws you into the image and is very enjoyable. The snow dusted trees and the pastel sky work very well together. Nicely seen and well shot.

Well, I think you made a good choice. This scene is really beautiful. You know I love winter photography. I am almost envious that you are still getting some. We are in the middle of the mud season. Hasn't rained for 2 days but I'm sure it will soon. I know that because my backyard is almost out of mud. I love the snow and colors. This is an exceptionally fine piece. Thank you for sharing.

Mud season is going to be a real doozy here this year Paul.....and may not even have it until May at this rate. OMG I can't believe I said THAT! You're a sweetheart for giving it such a wonderful review. Thank you so much. Now wear your slickers....lol

I really like the colour in this snowy scene the trees stand crisp and clear against it, I like the different trees with the snow highlighting their beauty, very well framed,
great light, it has snowed here again in the uk which is unusual for this time of year but not unheard of, minus 3 and we think its bad, lol. cant wait for the summer to see your flowers, but you are doing a great job with the snow scenes. keep warm. jo

Conn is almost tropical compared to us here in NEK. It is brutally cold this weekend. Just waiting for spring....lol

Fabulous photo! Freezing in upstate NY also. I give you much credit for braving the elements. Apparently you are more determined than you camera LOL
I thank you for that! Your efforts are well worth this spectacular photo.
I like painting in my warm house, however I am now joined by a mouse ugh!
My sanctuary has been disturbed.
Hope it gets warmer soon so my uninvited house guest leaves and you camera cooperates.
Great photo nicely accomplished!
