WOW> I did a double take . First glance I thought it was half color and half black and white. How'd she do that? :D Then I realized it was a sunset with super bright sun. That's Alaska!
This is really pretty awesome. Excellent depth and lighting. Cool beans.

I need to start saving my 6 stars and reserve them for you. I love this photo! It is an amazing captured shot of a split screen so to speak. You have a "Two for" lol
Wonderful color and contrast. Great captured moment in time!

I think the half and half makes this really interesting. The overblown part of the light doesn't look too bad with the lightness of the left half. It's amazing how the sun hasn't broken through the mountaintop clouds yet. The reflection looks really nice too.

Unbelievably beautiful. Great looking shot! The entire scene looks other worldly! The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

a beautiful half and half Sunset as you indicate; what I moistly like are the quite very unusual "dark sunrays" ; I got similar pics many years ago in the Philippines;

    Thank you so much! I think that this was the first time I had ever seen anything quite like this!

Pat this is so incredible and beautiful I want to view it forever.... I love how you captured this scene. The difference in color is remarkable, like winter and summer all in one.
This is so eye catching and immediately had my interest.
One of the most unique and beautiful sunsets I've had the pleasure to view. Truly a magnificent capture. Love , love it!

Every time I see a photo I like, it is yours. I am giving you a 6 because on first initial look, I found this to be a stunning photograph that I couldn't take my eyes off of. The setting sun and sky is amazing. Love it!

    Thank you so very much Sean! This was pretty eerie, plus it was just silent too!

Nice image. I am always intrigued by how storms and clouds impact on the image. You effectively have two pictures here. The storm laden mountain and the setting sun reflecting on the lake. Either would be an effective shot. I am not sure they are as effective together, not sure why. There are very nice things happening in both halves. There is good color and sharp focus. So it is a well shot image, maybe just not the best composition.

    Thank you very much! I really value and appreciate your review, it is so interesting that my favorite part of this is the part you don?t prefer! I had never seen such a split sight before, I did get shots of each side separately too. Thank you again!

    It is not that I don't like it, I just find it visually confusing. I like the concept and think it can work.

    It is visually confusing , you put that very well! I think that is what I liked the best about it, a warm sunset that had little to no affect on the portion to the left. I do appreciate your thoughts and really appreciate your willingness to share them with me!

I am no expert on Alaskan sunsets but this one looks very strange but beautiful indeed! Your nice and classical composition grants us an enjoyable look at it. Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely taken!
