I think this is one of your best bird shots. You captured a lot of detail of this bird with barely any motion blur and the exposure is so close to being spot on. The background is free of distraction and those claws really stand out too.

    Grace,
Thanks a million for your great review on the Supervalu Jackdaw.
It was easier to photograph than the smaller birds in the garden as it stayed put for a coupl of minutes & there was NO glass berween us.

This is a wonderful shot of the bird! Great clarity and sharpness! You have framed it well. The light, colour and the composition have worked well. Good effort!

Really nice presentation of the Jackdaw, Focus and lighting spot on as well as the framing. Personally i enjoy viewing pic of small birds, often it is the only way we ever get to see them in details, so thanks for sharing

I like how you have framed this. The colors are very sharp. I like the red background against the bird. The top corner is a little busy but not bad. Nice shot overall. Thanks for sharing!

Oh my goodness don't apologize! I totally get it and this shot is awesome! I always feel like I have to put in a little critique somewhere here and there or I'll get kicked off...lol. I just love all the pictures on here and get some great ideas from them all!

Very nice capture Susan.
You have nice focus and you even managed to show a part of his third eye called the Nictitiating Membrane in the far left of his eye.
I would only suggest you run this through a de-noise filter.
Nice work :)

Nice contrasting photo. Sharp detail of the subject. Well balanced. My mother used to call my brother her little Blackbird .... He always thought everything he found was a treasure. :) Altogether it's a very strong photo very well composed. Thanks for sharing it with us

Great detailed photo! He shows very well with his wonderful feathers with the red and white background. Nicely framed. I like that you left it as a full photo.
Nicely captured!

The color constraint is striking! I really like the composition and clarity of the bird, especially with a black animal. So beautiful. Thank you for sharing!

Impressive sideview portrait shout eye clarity & fine smooth fluffy plumage.
Nice color backdrop and accentuating the obscure coloration of the exotic subject.
Thanks for sharing...

    Dickson,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this Jackdaw with Leucism, that has robbed his feathers of their black colouring.
