I just love kittens, and this one so cute. It is sad to hear that she had such a short life. It is lovely the way she is posing for you, and I especially like how well you have captured the fine shine in her eyes. I also like how fine the background is.
Your photo is nice and sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen both in the cute little face, and the fur. The exposure is just spot on.
The format you have cropped the photo into works well and the kitten has a fine placement off to the right. Still I would have cropped just a bit more on the right to get rid of the green spot in the upper left corner. It is a not a big issue, but since this is for a contest. I think I would have done it.
Still I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo with a very good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

I have always been a cat lover. I had about eight at one time. I, too recused my cat twelve years ago and he was in pitiful shape. Your Chewie is so adorable. Sorry for your loss. I hope there is a cat heaven so we can all visit our pets. Her eyes are so pretty. I love Tabbies. My Collar is an American Tabby with a mix of MainCoon. Good luck in the contest.
