I was just taking pictures of some of these yesterday! I like how you found one that is blooming at the tip! The detail looks good and your exposure provides lovely colors.

Thank you so very much! I am not sure the type of tree this is , with the red detail, do you happen to know?
reply by Envision on 15-Apr-2018
It is a really cool plant. I think it's a Feltleaf willow. You should keep an eye on it to see if the yellow and red buds/stamen grow a little taller. They look super cool at that stage too.

I will go back and look at it today to see how it has changed , thank you!

What a beautiful photo of these
Blooming buds. They look so soft like a pussy willow. I love the simplicity in this and the beautiful blue sky background.
Focus is crisp and clear on all the little fuzzies. The one with color really makes this interesting and a bit artsy! I love it.

Spring is here or so we thought, 70's all this week and snow for Monday. UGH!!Your photo is giving me hope again.
That sky is the perfect color blue. And the pussy willow is just glorious. We missed getting ours at church this year as Mom was sick.
Thanks for sharing Spring with us.

Indeed a sign that spring is on its way. Very simple shot well executed. The angled branch crossing the image attracts attention. The one blossom opening with color is very nice. You might open this up just a tad so that the branch isn't pushing the upper frame. Good shot.

Things are good in Georgia, too. 80 degrees today, 82 tomorrow. Day lilies are budding. I love the fuzzy buds. What kind of tree is it? Your photo is clear, sharp focus. Pretty in details and well framed.

PS. I selected your photo of the Birch Trees and wrote a poem on Fan Story. My muse was pushing sinister so it isn't Robert Frost and you did get a big mention.

by may it will 90 , june and july 95, 98 aug and sept we will see heat index over 100. A/c lookin' good
reply by the author on 13-Apr-2018
Oddly, we get up to 90 if we go up north to the Fairbanks area and that feels like popsical eating days! It?s a dry heat not much humidity. That area gets extreme cold during the winters however. I suppose you are well accustomed to the heat. Anchorage might see 80 and that feels hot to me!
reply by Linda Engel on 13-Apr-2018
It's the humidity that kills us. and the mosquitoes coming from the pond. Than Goodness we have bats and frogs that feast on them.

I recall the humidity from being in Connecticut ! Our mosquitos are huge and come ready for serious combat !

If winter's here, can spring be far behind?!?
Of course not!

Well, this is just a zenplistic presentation.
Minimalist both in colors & elements!
KISS principle.

You see, how a lower perspective can change the visual language & power dynamics of this cute composition?!?

Visually soothing blue sky lends a perfect, crisp & clear backdrop!
No nuances whatsoever!

Thanks for sharing...

Is this a pussy willow? Glad to see spring is arriving for you, it's been slow coming to us as well. I love the sprig being the only item in your photo with the blue sky behind it. Looks like the top bud is ready to pop. Lovely photo, Susan

There is no more certain sign of spring than seeing the pussy willows in bloom. A very nicely composed shot with excellent detail and beautiful colors.
