I think this pose it great. The robin has such a proud looking stance. Your exposure and depth are lovely. The colors look great, showing good detail, and the background softness is very attractive.

Very nice capture of a proud robin. Great colors in the bird. The branch is too bright, I would burn it in some and clone out the dark band. You want the bird to dominate the picture without allowing the viewer to look at anything else.

Thank you very much for the great review and suggestions! I think you're right about the branch, but cloning out the dark band and still having the branch look natural might be beyond what I'm able to do.

Very well photographed with spot on focus, the subject is clear and shows amazing detail all the way through, perfect light control, natural colors and tones, nice face and beak detail , perfect capture of the eye complete with catch light ! Well placed in the frame , nice composition with the robin on the Branch against the clear green background! Beautiful work and a pleasure to view!

Where in the world was this nice shot taken? I ask because in our part of the UK robins have very intense red breasts whereas yours looks orange? Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!

Thank you very much for the great review! This is actually called an American Robin which is probably what I should have put in the title. They can be found all over the USA and they are very common here in Illinois in the spring and summer. As far as I know they all have orange breasts.
