Aw. What a wonderful heartwarming scene. This little fellow is so cute with such a nice pose in front of mom. Good positioning in the frame of both birds. Nice sharp focus and color rendering. Great job here Barbara ~ Steve

This is too cute. I like how mom is hovering in the background to protect her little one. You captured great detail of the gosling's face. Your exposure is very nice too.

Excellent choice of cutie subject.
An interesting initial impact.
Nice off centered framing.
Subdued lighting.
Selective focusing with the gosling's face being the sharpest!
Verdant grass lends a soothing backdrop.
Great eye level vantage point.
Perspectives are more engaging when we crouch down.
Great story telling factor.
Nice perspective & narrow DOF.

Thanks for sharing...

Hi Barbara thank you for sharing this absolutely beautiful photo of family togetherness. l just love the scene and it offers a feeling of both caring and sharing .. Fabulous angle used to capture the joy of this little gosling taking a moment to enjoy its new found freedom of life.. He seems to be captivated by your lens while his Mummy continues to search for the underlying insects in that delicious green grassy blanket upon which the wander.. excellent clarity and exposure really bring out the fine and fluffy down on the baby's body. . soft lemon and grey hues so cutely covering its tiny little frame. It has that look of pure innocence .. so new to the world and its surroundings. yet peaceful and at ease, knowing its mum is right there to keep him safe..Love the little grey brown patch on top of his head.. ever so cute.. The adult goose is a real charmer.. she seems content to let you take the photo while she fends for food in the field.. Her long black neck is in the most odd position.. but then, geese and birds in general have amazing flexibility in that part of their body. The striking white marking under her head really contrasts well and draws attention to her eye.. That lengthy beak has good purpose.. searching happily for unsuspecting worms and insects.. her back feathers are well focused and show off her fine feathered coat nicely. many layers of brown hues complimenting that striking black shiny neckline she charmingly wears. The lighting is perfect and I like the slight blurred effect in the background.. it offers good sense of depth to your scene and makes her body really pop. The shadow in the foreground on the grass gives some indication of a sunny day above .. and the direction from which the sun is shining. The happy family photo of mother and baby has a beautiful loving emotion emanating from within.. and has been a true joy to review

Oh is this truly an adorable shot of mother and baby.
The little gosling is so so
cute and perfectly captured in front of mom/dad.
I love seeing it in its fuzzies against the clear detail of the parent. Just a beautiful site so well captured and such a pleasure to view.

A lovely maternal capture, timed brilliantly and cropped with a great choice of positioning, showing the mother's head and upper body leaning in from the left with the gosling by her head, seemingly looking at the camera with an inquisitive look on its adorable little face. The colour contrast is great and the DOF good, the green grass accentuating both the darker greys and black of the adult and the yellow of the chick. Sharp clarity throughout in good lighting, great capture, well done :)

A very nice shot with good rendering of the eyes of both the goose and gosling. The composition is attractive and the flat light gives you great colors as well as shadowless details.
