A cute avian delight with fantabulous plumage coloration!
Rara avis!
Nice vignette making him stands out more prominent against the earth toned backdrop...
Ideal off centered framing.
You can break rules sometimes...;-)

an excellent close up portrait of this robin; it looks quite different from the robins often posted by susan FMT: darker wings and a much larger orange body ;
excellent techs all around;

Awww! This is such a cute little robin. You have captured him perfectly. The clarity is perfect, you must have had to sneak up on him quite carefully. I like the close up that you got of him and how the sun is shining down on him just right. You did an excellent job :) Thanks for sharing :)

A nice looking robin. It sounds as though they do not overwinter that far north. Around here they tend to stay all winter when you can see flocks of them in the crab apple trees.

Look how beautiful his red breast is! He seems to know he is a handsome fellow and just posed for you. It is nice that you are seeing some signs of spring.

That's a fine looking photo of this traditional 'harbinger of spring',Pat!
I noticed one of them hopping around on my front lawn back at the end of February ( when it was touching on Seventy degrees down here in northern New York ) but then Winter kicked back in with low temperatures and ( almost weekly ) snow and ice storms and,well,no more Robins! : )
(Perhaps in May or June! We'll see! Lol! )

Thank you so very much Sean, this is lady summer, the Robins haven?t even shown up here yet! Our snow is mostly gone and I hope we don?t get any more! I?m over winter!

Love the clarity in the photo. The robin seems to be sitting there thinking where his next meal is coming from. The background of rocks, straw and grasses just make this natural scene beautiful. Susan

Very nice picture of a robin sitting on the ground. I always make a wish every spring when I first see a robin. It's an old family tradition. This is what it usually looks like when I see the first robin of the season. Everything is done well...the framing, the lighting, the details and the exposure.

Thank you so very much! I also make a wish with the first robin I see! I have done it since I was a little girl!

Lovely close up of this pretty little Robin in your neighbour's garden, Pat. Interesting patterns in the foliage and twigs in the background. Excellent lighting and focus showing a lovely clear image. Very nice composition. Suzanne
