You have done an incredible job taking the picture of this alligator lizard. I don't think I've ever seen one of these before. It is really beautiful. You've done a great job getting a close-up of him. Outstanding my friend thank you so much for sharing.

Carina,
Please accept my apology for such along delay in thanking you for your review.
Long story short, my brother who I am the caregiver for, was involved in bicycle car accident, he was the one the bike, to say the least I have been rather busy.
Thank you for your critique on of my piece.
Have good day.

The lizard is lovely and very clearly photographed. The brightly colored towel in stripes adds to the work. The lizard's eye is also clearly seen as are the legs on this side. Best wishes.

I have never heard of this type of lizard. He looks fierce but apparently you rescued him and was able to have him cooperate. The stripped towel is a bit powerful but it is colorful.I might have cropped the color a bit to better feature the little star.

Lucien,
A beautiful & colourful picture of the Alligator lizard stretched out along your colourful red, white, blue & navy striped towel that contrasts with it's beautiful shape, patterned pale& dark brown & white scally skin. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Good for you, I would have had to rescue it, too! he is definitely pretty cool looking, love the pattern and how he looks so comfy on that towel. Very nicely focused with good exposure. Best wishes to you in the contest!

A beautiful shot that is very nicely composed. I love the striped towel; its colors contrast beautifully with the lizard. Excellent details and great colors. Best of luck in the contest.

Great story. It is always nice to hear animals saved. The details in the lizard are quite nice. The image is framed well. However, the towel itself is a big distraction of too much color which really takes away from the subject. Best of luck in the contest.

jodi,
As always, thank you for your critique of my Post.
to add to the story:
My grandson immediately noticed the difference between the texture and colors. He also wanted to know how long he was. I estimated 7 plus inches.
I respectfully disagree, the towel leads you to the lizard.
Thanks again.

Im sure your grandson found this fun. But when viewing images the first thing your eye goes to should be the subject. Unfortunately, it was the towel first and lizard after. I am happy we agree to disagree.

understand what you are saying However, the stark difference in color between the two, makes me look at the lizard first, we can agree to disagree. have a great day. Cheers, Lucien

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine and classical composition offers us an enjoyable view of both lizard and towel. Both have enjoyable patterns. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well done and good luck!
