What a great entry for the contest and a humorous description :)

I like how you have the backsides of these birds in such a silly way....perfect entry :)

Good luck in the contest and thanks for sharing!

A very peculiar place indeed and you have captured its under belly very well.

A white balance control nightmare, but your technical excellence has handled it extremely well. Because of the near monochrome color contrast is critical - well controlled and even with no lose of detail and no over saturation.

Initial visual impact is a sense of ominous portents. Heck of a story could be told ... Bob

what a fussy Croc! only eat the heads and spit the rest away..lol. cool capture. the angle of the shot of the illusion of headless birds perched on the branch is great. the clarity is great. the capture of the light is great. ;the presentation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

Now, this is a perfect entry for the contest without grossing me out. LOL. While the birds do kind of get lost in the sky by the angle, their slightly darker bodies do help them stand out a bit. Good luck with the contest.

There may not be many heads around, there are many butts to make up for it. Must be a bunch of males watching the females stroll by or vice a versa. Thanks for sharing. Ray

All these SIX Black-headed Gulls have heads attached to their necks as they gaze into the distance below their perch. If they were headless they would fall off the perch. Also I prefer to view their heads rather than their anuses!
Good luck in your contest.
Susan

A great picture of 6 headless birds. Very well focussed and at a great angle. I love how well focussed the branches are I think it adds to the photo, well done

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Did not know that crocs lived in France? Your fine and classical composition offers us an enjoyable view of those headless birds. Well done and good luck!

Ha! Haa!! Obviously they have no heads. Otherwise they would't be displaying their ass.:):) Smart photography. Great timing. The light and shadows, and composition have worked out well. Good effort!
