This is a lovely and up-close capture of the young handsome squirrel hanging onto the sunflower seed hearts feeder. The hanging flowers in red and green foliage are nice as is the front ground foliage. Best wishes in the contest.

Most welcome, artist friend Susan. It is amazing how much you do with even the smallest of things. Picturesque squirrel and setting, flowers.

Looks like he likes to chow down on seeds and hang out under the fuchsia, dining in elegance. The colors are bright and the dark background really works. This is a wonderful capture, Susan. Ray

Ooooh! Susan you have definitely out done yourself this time!! - And that's no lie.â?¢

This absolutely astounding take is so good I am at once totally amazed and envious - WOW!

Every aspect of the shot is perfectly recorded, and meets, no scratch that, exceeds FARS eight points for review. Even that doesn't in my book give the level of praise this shot deserves.

In my backyard it took the Gray squirrels 3 days to defeat my new "Squirrel Proof Feeder". But the Red Squirrels did it in 1.

So, so, so well done... Bob

Looks like the squirrel is having a great time swinging on the feeder.
Love the framing with the fuschia.
Focus and dof are good. Colors are natural.

A wonderful nature capture Susan of this cheeky agile Squirrel, framed beautifully with the hanging crimson flowers. Clear and focussed especially on the squirrels features and eye. All the best in the contest Susan!

Susan, You captured a photo that is totally fun! Love this mischievous upside down squirrel! LOL I can only imagine the fun you had taking pictures of him! WE see squirrels in all kinds of modes but when you capture one like this, it's a real trophy. Your excellent skill with a camera brought great lighting and pretty good focus to this shot! Wat really makes this shot though is the FUN factor! Thanks so much for sharing! God Luck in the Contest! :o) Nancy

    Sean,
Your right, the Squirrel was only interested in itself & filling it's stomach.

years back when i created the video "Backyard Warriors" it was scenes like this with the squirrel and the feeder that gave me the idea of the story. its currently streaming on youtube just look up my name. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of the squirrel on the feeder is great. the capture of the light is great. the presentation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

This shows the nature of a squirrel and its agility as well.
This little critter is enjoying the sunflower seed hearts from underneath the feeder.
Good timing to capture this , well focused, this image is clear, exposure is correct, colors and tones appear true and natural.
Well composed and presented!
