This take has excellent color, positioning, contrast and detail. Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done!... Bob

Hi Susan, Looks like the king of the elephants is posing for a royal shot! It could e too that he is just outside enjoying his children playing. Looks lie they let this area get a little overgrown. The shot piques your curiosity o what's going on. It's not your every day photo either. Both focus and lighting let us enjoy this unusual shot! Thanks for sharing! :o) Nancy

A lovely capture of Ganesha to accompany your interesting notes. I imagine it would be a very rewarding place to visit. Great focus resulting in clear details and good composition too - I enjoy the greenery surrounding the statue.

What a beautifully captured photo of the Hindu God Ganesha in an American park.! A beautifully sculptured idol.Although Ganesha has many attributes, he is readily identified by his elephant head. He is widely revered, more specifically, as the remover of obstacles and thought to bring good luck; the patron of arts and sciences; and the God of intellect and wisdom As the god of beginnings, he is honoured at the start of rites and ceremonies. He is the Supreme Being for the Hindus. Thanks for sharing!

Sesha,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on the Hindu God Ganesha found in a field off the road near the village of Roundwood in Co. Wicklow in IRELAND not America.
If you Google Victor's Way Indian Sculpture Park
Wicklow, Ireland you will see how it's developed since my visit in 2006.

A good looking image posted here together with fascinating notes too! Wonder why someone or some group of people wanted Indian statues in Ireland? Exposure and sharpness are fine. Nicely done!

Oh my goodness Susan, what a weird and wonderful find - and in Ireland of all places! But I want to know more, who created it, where did the sculptures come from and particularly the why!
Your photo is excellent of this sculpture - I hope you got loads of others too? The focus and dof are both spot on, the exposure is perfect and the composition is great - I love that one rose, it almost looks like he's holding it in his trunk!
I'm fascinated!

Charlotte,
Thanks a million for your complementary review & your most welcome SIX Star rating on Ganesha found off the road just outside Roundwood village in Co. Wicklow. I found it by accident while driving past the gate & drove back to investigate. I don't remember seeing any other statues but it was 2006 when I visited.
Since then it has expanded if you Google
Victor's Way Indian Sculpture Park
Wicklow, Ireland
An eccentric garden of sculptures crafted in India decorate an Irish green space dedicated to Alan Turing.
You will get more information.
