Vibrant 3D presentation of the pink coloring highlights the flowers and sets a nice stage for them as the focal point. I would have liked to have seen less white space on the right side of the photo. Needs a bit of fine-tuning, but I like the details overall.

Thank you for your review. I really am glad to hear from you. I painted these Morning Glories in oil on canvas and chose to do it like it was in its setting. I hope you will view my portfolio if other works, mostly realism.

Glena,
A very beautiful painting of the mauve Morning Glory flowers that appear to be about to leap out of the frame. Created by your artist's eye for composition very skilful brushwork beautiful choice & application of your colours in bringing this scene to life on your canvas.

You are so kind, artist friend, and really made my day with your encouraging words. I just ended the spinal-stenosis neck surgery earlier this month and hope to get back soon. Again, special. And with six stars. Thank you so much.

A lovely piece of art work depicting these pink/purple morning glories. The colors of the flowers and the greenery surrounding them. Good luck in the contest.

Hi Glena, I think Morning Glories are very pretty! They are one of the few flowers that come in a beautiful blue shade. Love the way you painted these and show the leaves in the background. The only thing I don't understand is why you left a large white area on the right. It's almost as if you didn't finish painting the image. I enjoyed what you did but since there is no explanation on why the area is bare I took off a little in your rating. Didn't know what else to do! Sorry about that! Nancy

You are so kind, my artist friend, and really helped make my day with your encouraging words and best wishes. I just ended the spinal-stenosis neck surgery earlier this month and hope to get back soon. I will have another surgery, LW. When I did this oil painting, the reference was like this and I didn't change it. Sometime I may change it by painting there too.

Thank you so much for your sweet review, artist friend. And, I am so humbled and appreciative of it and of the "6".

Wow Glenna! I am so impressed by this one! I seriously thought you accidentally chose artwork when it was clearly a photograph. But nope. It's so realistic! Your details on the leaves is extraordinary and the color choice and shadowing in your morning glories are amazing. I am curious about the bright white spot on the right side of the image. That's my only issue with the pic. I do love this so much!

Thank you, artist friend Jewell, for your fine and descriptive review. The white on the right was the way it was in the reference. Perhaps I should have changed it then as I often do with references now. Thank you so much again. I needed that. And, thanks for the "6".

Such a lovely painting. At first glance and at a distance, I thought that this is a photograph. The realistic shades of magenta are great choice, the reason why it looks like a photo. Excellent use of straight lines in the petals. Great drawing and painting techniques and you've framed this well, too.

Me too, friend. I'd love that. Please pray for my husband, "handsome husband" I posted. He's never been sick, suddenly losing weight, blood dropping, then found he has gastric cancer. Thank you so much.

This is a really cool piece. I like the movement (if that makes sense?)and how it's not completely realistic. Beautiful colors! I'd definitely hang it. :)
Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much, Brigantia, for stopping by and for your fine review. I hope you will come again. I don't know if you've reviewed my work before, but I'm so glad to have your review this time. And, yes, I didn't paint this one as realistic as some of mine. I like doing that sometimes. I appreciate all of your kind words here.
