Hi Devonte, I think you did a great job drawing an animal for the first time. I think you did the facial features very well. You did a nice job with the shadows. I know if I tried to draw an image of a dog I wouldn't do as well as you did. :o) Helvi

You did a fine job with line and shading drawing. And your first time drawing an animal. You did especially will with his eyes and lower face, putting such expression into him. It would have been nice to do a little more work on the bottom and make the large ear smaller like the other ear. Good job for first time indeed!

This is extremely good for your first time drawing an animal. A little tip...if you want to do some soft shading easily then grate some charcoal and use a brush to paint it on. Keep up the great work!

Devonte, this is a fine rendering of this pooch and a first time draw even better. I see that you concentrated your effort on, mainly the face and not the ears or the body and One ear is larger than the other and not enough detail and both ears were cut off. These are things that need improvement. I hope this helps you. Ray

nice drawing being it your first time drawing a realistic dog. I like how soft the shading is especially for the outline. I think more shading could be added to the dog's body to make it look more complete. At the same time, I really like the simplistic shading. It makes viewers focus on the face more than anything else which I think aligns with the art title. Cool drawing!

Thank you! Yes, I realized after I posted it that I didn't exactly finish the shading on the dogs body. I finished it now, thank you!
