Good effort with a lot of detail and colour. The face could be brighter but you probably couldn't tell him to move and might have been even better if you blurred the background. 5 stars from me, well done, cheers Mark

I love this picture of the orangutan; they are beautiful animals. But I feel this particular shot is not as well focused as it could be, that would make it stand out more

Hi Mary, I've never seen an orangutang in person but have on nature shows. I'm really in awe of the elongated head these creatures have. You're right about Puspa looking sad. She has that downward gaze that makes you think she's not interested in anything. If that's the case it's very sad! You really captured a meaningful image of the look she has. The lighting and focus really allow us to see her mood. Very Nicely done! Hope next time you see her she's in a happier state! :o) Nancy

Mary,
A wonderful portrait of Puspa, one of the Orangutans
watching you from under her eyebrows the sunlight catching the shine on her long red hair, as she stands out from the blurred grass in the background. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
Susan

Good close up of the orangutan and a nice story with this one,its look to have been a bit bright [not the best light] but you still got a good photo despite that...Brian

A good looking nature image presented here, together with interesting notes too! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us a very good view of that sad ape. Wonder what depressed her? Exposure and sharpness are fine. Nicely done!
