Ah! This is witty and has some really good features. It seems to have symbolism as well. The shading at the top, the snow pouring down with lightning at the same time. I would have mixed or done it in a way the lightning shows as blue and whites in it. It makes interesting work.

Glena, thanks! I think you are right! Next time I try lightning I'll mix blue with white. It's so generous of you to offer that advice, I am grateful for that and your kind words! Maddy

Maddy, I believe we are all here to encourage in our reviews, always being constructive. At least that is what I try to do, artist friend. I like your name Madeleine Mardis withs fine alliteration.

Hi Madeline,
This is an interesting piece, the title is also interesting, this tells the story of the fox that appears a bit overwhelmed by all of the snow. I can see the time it must have taken to create the falling snow.
The fox has a nice placement over on the right facing left.
This is cute and I can imagine this as a page in a children's storybook.
I would only suggest that you photograph your work so that it fills the frame, in this case, I think I would not include the gold frame , it actually works as a distraction, taking the eye off of your work.
Good luck to you !

alaskapat, I thank you show much for the encouragement and advice! I took a new picture of it, without the frame. I posted it but I guess it takes a little time. I have always thought I'd like Alaska! Haha, you can see I love snow! Thanks again for your benevolence! Maddy

A good looking nature image presented here! Your fine and classical composition offers us an enjoyable view of that animal in a snow storm. By the way what is "Thuder Snow"? Nicely drawn!

nikman, thanks so much! Yeah, Thudersnow actually happens, it's rare but once in a while it does! I was watching the weather channel and Jim Cantore was in a thunder snow event and he was beyond excited that it was happening! Really glad you liked this!

A very sweet and endearing visual presented here of this little fox looking through the snowflakes. Composition, shades, tones, and textures are very well presented. Thank you for sharing the sweet moment.

This is really good. I like the snowy scene with a powerful message behind it. The lighting strike it not bad just paint the snow first, then draw the lighting over the snowflakes to see it better. Overall great work, thank you for sharing!
