Bokeh
The topic for this photography contest is: Bokeh.
Bokeh comes from the Japanese word "boke-aji," which means "the blur quality." In photography, bokeh refers to the blur in out-of-focus areas of an image. There are many ways to creatively use bokeh in an image through the use of careful depth of field control. This contest challenges traditional photographers to present bokeh as creatively as possible in their images. However, the selected image should still contain a clear and sharp center of interest.
This is a traditional photography contest, NO MIXED MEDIA ALLOWED. Minor edits of photography using software is permitted, but the bokeh MUST be generated IN CAMERA and NOT in Photoshop. No digital art or traditional artwork should be submitted.
Deadline: Contest is closed. Deadline was Sunday, November 7, 2010.
