Beat It
The topic for this Traditional Art contest is: BEAT IT. (hmmm, now what could that mean.....creating music perhaps......YES indeed.)
[This is part II of a III part contest. Each part is separate and stands alone; therefore you do not have to enter all three. You can enter anyone you like. I DO NOT SEE any artists jumping at the first part....Composers. I thought for sure there would be artist's on this site that would show us their talents by submitting a drawing of their favorite composer... I guess I was wrong. Therefore I did make some changes to the criteria of that contest...I added pencil and charcoal. I changed the title somewhat. I also extended the deadline]
Part II BEAT IT...Create a Traditional Artwork that somehow incorporates the topic, WHICH means for this art contest, artists must draw in pen&ink or pencil or charcoal someone playing a musical instrument. If the person requires a special uniform, please make sure to include that in your drawing. Some examples are:
-- someone playing Taps...you would have that person in a military uniform with a bugle.
--the drummer of the band Kiss and how he used to look with all of his garb and makeup on and of course the drums.
--a free spirited flower child of the 60s playing her tambourine.
--a little boy learning chopsticks on the piano.
IT IS UP TO YOU.
The artwork should clearly be about the topic. Creative approaches are welcomed. But contest voters will be asked to consider the topic when making a choice for a winner.
This is for Traditional Artwork (Pen & ink and/or pencil or charcoal ONLY.)
Show us your talents without a paintbrush; just pen & ink or pencil or charcoal. No paints. No markers. No crayons. Nothing else. It is like a photo without any edits and no color. Its rawest form, if you will.
No photography, digital art or any form of artwork that uses a photograph. This art contest is for all forms of art. That includes pen and ink, pencil, watercolors, charcoal, sculpture, computer art and all other forms of art. No photography.
Deadline: Contest is closed. Deadline was Friday, March 31, 2017.
