Summertime Photography Contest Entry
"But it is not merely to exist," said the little butterfly, "one need freedom, sunshine and a little flower…" [Hans Christian Andersen]
Butterflies were always a symbol of summer to me. Truth I was playing with many opportunities for the ….but I came back to the butterflies. There were people having summer fun with sport or travel, kids playing in the water and more. All that seamed too over used on the theme to me. Maybe the butterflies are too but they are my childhood symbol of summer. I have chosen this picture because there is not only one butterfly but three sharing the Hibiscus flower.
It is an older picture. It was taken with Konica-Minolta Dimage Z2 in 2005. I don't remember the settings for sure [my notes were lost in the Hurricanes] but I think it was automatic settings with vivid color and manual aperture settings.
