How often do we overlook the beauty of nature because some of nature's artwork is too small to get our attention? How often do we overlook the beauty in the ordinary?
We don't need to serge for them. These beautiful creations are right beside us. We may go by daily but we overlook them because we don't look at them.
This beauty is a single Oleander blossom. Oleander blossom come in clusters so the single blossom about 1 inch in diameter won't be noticed very often.
The photo was taken at nightfall with a hand hold Sony DSC-H9. I used an ordinary 6V flashlight what I was holding with my camera free hand. When I saw the effect of this small light reflection on the blossom I was amazed how it seams to change the blossoms center into flames. The soft appearance of the blossom was intentional to amplify the 'flames'.
Focal length 5mm
