It is the door of a hospital room seen from the bed of the patient.
It symbolized the thoughts and hopes, the memories and the wish of going home as the pain and the medication causing to drift in and out of consciousness and sleep.

The collage is a merge of four photos.
Basic was a photo of the door of a hospital room open to the hallway. There was a picture on the wall. I left the frame but changed the picture to one of my original photos taken near or home. The other two used photos are a shadow cast and a cloud picture with a Seagull. Parts of these photos were merged into the picture. The bird was multiplied. Some of the clouds and birds were modified with brush strokes.
