*I tried 5 or six times to post this (same size) before I was finally successful. It was coming out way to big and I sent it in at 500x622.
It's finally showing at the right size.....and it's still 500x622. I have no idea what went wrong?
The other day I was out taking shots of the sun streaming through the clouds after a rainstorm. When I first looked at this I thought of God's eye watching over us with Heavenly light streaming out of it. Upon closer examination when I got home I saw a bird???s head with an eye and his mouth wide open. I imagined Nature herself in the form of a bird looking down on the disastrous oil spill. She was madly squawking at us to fix this terrible mistake.
This is a mixed media with sky and ocean. I took an ocean shot and gradually added transparency to sections of the water, from the sky to the ocean. I applied more darkness to the dark spots of the water to make it look like oil. I hope what you see is the bird looking down on this oily mess, squawking in anger and distress.
