Art In Nature Contest Entry
MY first attempt at drawing a whole image.
This drawing is suppose to resemble Stained Glass. I drew the entire bird with the freestyle tool as an outine then cut the pieces out. I wanted to have individual feathers for the wings. The breast, body, head, neck ring and tail feathers of the humming bird were all cut out from the original drawing I did.
I only drew one petal for the flower and then copied it... to make the whole. ONe stamen was made and they were also cloned from the original. I hope I gave the bird an irredescent glow. At the end I had 51 pieces total.
THe rainbow was a gradient bow I made and the faded it with glaussian blur. The hummingbird and flower also have gradient colors to help create a glowing effect. I used metalic filter on the birds's breast and a wet sponge filter for its body wings and tail feathers. A single reddish band with a little highlighting made up his neckband.
.
Hope you enjoy
