This is a great blue heron. At a local lake I keep an eye out for this guy. I had snuck up on him, got my camera ready and moved in. When he saw me that was all it took. I was ready though, as soon as I saw him move I shot, this is what I got. You can see little specks at the right, he had been preening himself, this is little feathers.
