I was driving around a local lake a few days ago, I was driving real slow because I thought I would see this guy. I was looking at the far bank. That is where I saw him the day before, but to my amazement he was on my side. I stopped the car, engine still running, Put the camera on him and watched his every move through the lens. I saw him looking at the ice, he kept turning his head, then he pecked the ice a couple of times real hard, you cold see his feathers jar. Then he stuck his bill through the ice and look at what he is pulling through the hole!
