This was created from blue gas flames and orange fireplace flames along with a ice covered evergreen branch. I'd call it a nature abstract piece.

I shaped what I wanted from the gas and fireplace flames in kaleidoscope and then added them to the main picture with the ice and worked on setting the image up. The ice branch was placed in the kaleidoscope filter beforehand.

I created a snow flake from the blue gas flames and palced in in the center of the ice. I then took another flame and created surrounding snowflakes from the gas flames. The border was created from the flames in the fireplace. It has two layers. The bottom layer was gaussian blurred and the top layer had some transparecy added. After everything was set I gave the image a final spin in the kaleidoscope filter. It took a few tries to get something I liked.
