This is a great blue heron. This was taken back in December. The lake was frozen and the only place for this guy to feed was close enough to see what he was doing. There is an aerator running which kept the water from freezing. I was sitting on a concrete boat ramp. It was a cold day around 20 degrees. This guy would walk around the open water looking for fish. This shot was taken a short time after he had gone in for a fish and was shaking the water off his feathers. I am using an Olympus E3 camera with a 70-300mm lens 750/sec f5.6
