Using a water based oil paint I was able to clean up using only water and soap! I used primary colours, blue symbolizing Earth, red for blood and yellow for oil. I created this piece to show the excessive consumption of oil in everyday life of a North American. Oil is used to create the material, produce and transport the product, build and power the store, power your car to the store supply specific cleaner's for these objects. The poker chips, bottles and sexual imagery in the painting are to show the economical and social impact of oil in our culture. The paint brush provides a tool for you to reveal these issues and paint a better, greener future. The impact of oil around the globe is devastating, this is one example of how the impact is felt where oil is found. http://archive.greenpeace.org/comms/ken/murder.html
By being green we are learning better habits to improve our future and assist the transition after oil depletion is worldwide in the next few decades.
