I wanted to make something different. First question was: What exactly is water and what does it look like ? In what form and shape can water be seen ? We all know the answer. It can be seen as a water fall, lake, river, pond, ocean, fountain, dew drop, rain, raindrop, droplet, splash or a tear. But it can also be steam, fog, snow and ice. It has just taken another form. I decided to make a photograph of ice. I had often looked through an ice cube thinking that it really looked nice inside. Sometimes with small bubbles. Since it is summer I thought I would make my own ice. I filled a small cup of water, added just a bit of blue color and put it in the freezer. When frozen I took it out of the cup and let it melt down on a plate of glass. And ......here it is. Frozen Water.
The photo was taken with light from a strong lamp and I used flash . Camera was hand held.
