The donkey tail plant hangs against our paling fence under the pergola. It doesn't need much attention but it has great meaning to me. This originally was my brothers and when he passed away suddenly it went to my mum's house then to me when she passed on. It is extremely fragile to move from one place to another as the sections making up each tail break easily and the tail itself will fall. Once upon a time it was around 6ft long but with the move from house to house it now is about 2ft but growing strongly. I liked the way the sun was shining through the palings behind this morning so took this picture.
