This is a great blue heron! I live near a public lake. I go and check it out every day. You never know what you might find! This guy was sitting on a stump near the bank. I stopped the car and walked over to where he was sitting! I knew I would get something from him. All I had to do was wait! I knew he would go for a fish or fly! In this case he did both! I was watching him through the lens and he moves very fast as he went in after a fish. After he ate his fish he sat there and got a drink, shook off the water and flew in front of me!
