Dr Yiannnis is a remarkable person. He has lived most of his life in Canada, but is now back in his home place, Kardamili in Greece. He has many PHD's. Anthropology,sociology,psychology etc. Now he is just a plain Greek fellow sitting in a little shop in his white T-shirt and a pair of shorts. He loves to speak to people. but he those who just pop their heads in to take a photo of what he calls "sacred ground". My Husband and I visited him several times, and I asked permission to take some photos included himself. I will not show you the photo of himself without permission. I have his Mail address, and will perhaps ask if I am allowed. He walks the mountains around Kardamili picking all the herbs. Something his grandmother taught him. He gets frequent offers from Universities to teach and to be given professorships, but he told me that he loved his herbs more. I have never met a person like this. Even doctors buy his products. He is so genuine in his interest for other people and their well being. I am so grateful to have met Yiannis and knowing that people like this actually exist in our world. I made a whole set of photos from his little shop. The house itself is more than 300 years old, and the place he was born. Thank you Yiannis for showing another aspect of life.
