It has gotten cooler so now is the time for me to start shooting birds again! I have learned from shooting humming birds that shooting with a flash on overcast or late afternoon will through the background dark! With contrast and brightness adjustment will make the background go black! This is an immature male Cardinal. You cane see his new colors coming in! His beak will change to a red color too! I am using an Olympus E3 camera with a 70-300mm lens ISO 400 500/sec f9.5 with an external flash!
