The cardinal builds their nest in heavy cover, bushes etc. They nest form spring to fall! I am sure most have seen the baby being big enough to feed itself will still follow mama around wanting her to feed it! I thought that since the summer is the time the wildlife is raising its young that this would be a perfect sample of summer time! I am using an Olympus E3 camera with a 70-300mm lens ISO400 500/sec f9.5 with an external flash and monopod
