I don't know how this one happened, but I thought it to be somewhat interesting and unusual...I didn't expect this result....It is a glass round tubular vase (about 2 feet tall), and I dropped a hologram of an eye inside the bottom. I shot it from above looking down into the vase at the eye on the bottom. Getting the light to shine at the hologram had to be at a perfect angle, so it is clearly visible and the hologram dimension is clear, which was kind of tough...and then of course, I added a few of my colored lights...aperture set to very small 32, and I used the bulb for shutter release. Some color correction was used to fix the bright, almost fluorescent look of the hologram, and retouched a few glares on the glass vase. This was a totally unexpected result, but it is hard to see when you are shooting in the dark! To me it did not look like a photograph, not even a highly mixed and manipulated one, but it did look like an oil or acrylic painting...curious at the reaction from other people as I have a very hard time judging my own work!
