This was the last scene from the planet Urakon, it the sixth planet in the solar system Rikes. Zanarkus was a brilliant scientist and was trained by the best in his field to test all the planets in that solar system for any unknown disaster that might befall them. Zanarkus was a well respected man on his planet and when he went to the council to tell them that unless they could get the help from the nearby planets their plant would be lost due to explosions coming from the destruction from their moon Lucia. Try as he might to get the council to heed his warning, they had the utmost confidence in Zanarkus that he and their team of mathematicians could find the answer to meet this catastrophe head on without giving honor to the nearby alien planets that they had been at war with for thousands of years.

The two young lovers held each other while they stood on the edge of what was left of their planet. With all his brilliance and training, nothing was to prepare him for what he had to witness in his last days on his beloved planet. He had always been both lover and hero to his wife Noranus, but now he could only hold her helplessly unable to protect her from the horrible fate that awaited them. If only the counsel would have heeded his warning, but it was all for not at this moment. Noranus held Zanarkus close to her side, unable to watch the last explosion that would soon bring them to their death.

Since that time, it was said on many of the planets surrounding them that when they looked up to their stars they can see Zanarkus holding Noranus in a tight embrace, arms held close around each other in one last kiss. When they hear the wind blow on their planets, it has been told by the other aliens that you can hear a slight whisper ever so gently say, " I'LL love you forever"

the surrounding planets from that solar system now have went to great lengths to be sure that their planets do not acquire the same fate. They have teamed together , one planet with another, putting differences aside for survival. They have named their project ' The Zanarkus Project" He would never know just how close he came to saving his planet, he had only left out one small calculation. One small mathematical figure, yet one large mistake that ended the life of what he held so dear.
Hero to some, failure to others, but he and his wife remain the true meaning of love to all planets forever
