Who does not know Count Dracula? Legends were told over centuries, books were written and movies were made. Some of them are icons now like Bram Strokers Dracula [novel 1987] and F.W. Murnaus Nosferatu [movie 1922] based on Strokers novel. 217 movies were based on Strokers novel second only to Sherlock Holmes [223 movies]. Who knows how many books, short stories, comics even games are based on this novel? Who knows how many Halloween parties and costumes? The unbroken popularity of the Count is almost a mystery as the character himself. Bran Strokers novel is a work of fiction, but based on folk legends and a historical figure; Vlad III Dracula of Walliacha [1431-1476]. Ask Mr.Jones he will tell you all about it. This picture is dedicated to Mr.Jones who has inspired it with his interesting documentation on the historical roots of the Dracula legend. It was a Dinner Theater with a faked facade of plaster and paint, photographed in 2007. Guess what play was on stage. The photos were layered, and treaded with filters to many to count. Some cloning, de-saturation and painting were done and the frame was added.
