I once was the proud owner of a beautiful porcelain apple. It was red with blue flowers and a gold leaf at the top. It was in two halves, and I sued to keep some of my rings in it. Many years ago I visited San Remo in Italy and in the hills above we found this ancient little village with a lot of old buildings. Not many people lived there any more, but an artist had her work shop there and sold the most lovely porcelain I have ever seen. This was the place I found the hand painted apple. Now it is all broken because of a playful little kitten. Look how ashamed he looks. I never got the chance to take a photograph of the kitten and the remains of the apple together, so I have merged two photographs, but both the kitten and the broken apple are real.
