The Theme of the contest was not easy to understand. I am still unsure about. Here is what I made of it. The contest ask: If we say what we mean than is true what we say? Well, I ask myself: Could we even know what is true? Is the truth the same for everyone? I personally think human nature is not able to know the absolute truth, maybe human is not supposed to know. We experience truth with or intellect as with or senses, but our reception could be broken as the picture in a broken mirror or distorted by seeing through mediums [here a glass filled with water] as in my photo. The focus was set on the distortion of the perfect shaped fork. The distortion was caused by the texture and the convex shape of the glass, and the water in it. The relative soft focus on the glass itself is intentional. The photo was taken in a restaurant with not so good light. For obvious reason, flash or any artificial light were out of question. Since the pictures turned out a bit too dark, I adjusted the lighting. The photo was cropped. Gaussian blur was applied to the right side of the background in order to conceal clutter.
