This photo was taken when I was in Nepal, country of Himalayas located in between China and India. Nepal has more than 75 percent scary hills of its total area. Very few of these places have means of transportation such as buses and horses. Majority of these hilly places do not have any means of transportation. These school kids of ages 6-12 have to cross this Trishuli river to go to school and to come back home everyday. Its very scary and I could not even do it. I fell like crying. These small kids crosses this river twice a day just to get the education, and it is so dangerous. I can imagine how life could be, if I have to cross this river everyday to go to school.
